I'm Jen Shanker, founder of Social By Shanker, a social media management and digital video firm based in Brooklyn, New York, working with businesses across the tri-state area.
I’ve long had a passion for creating. But back then, it wasn’t “content”–it was creating videos and images for the pure joy of it, way before anyone was there to like, comment, or share. That is, until Instagram came along around 2010 and lit something up inside of me. As digital platforms evolved, so did my passion for the craft. I realized that my favorite thing in the world wasn't just creating my own content, but helping others find their voice through video and intentional branding.
I enjoy getting to know founders and business owners, learning about their business from a human perspective, and taking my learnings and implementing them into a strategy that delivers.
My goal is to make your life easier so you don’t have to lift a finger or worry about what you don’t want to think about (I see you, small business owners). This job brings me joy because every client teaches me something new, and I get to help the world see what makes each business truly unique.
